St.Ignatius of Loyola and St. Charles Borromeo were contemporaries, the spirituality of St. Ignatius is first and foremost Trinitarian. Our Founder and first Sisters were influenced by Ignatian spirituality and followed the monastic and contemplative pattern of life of the seventeenth century. Sisters of St. Charles Borromeo are called to be Mystics, Prophets and Servants. Mysticism finds God in all things and all things in God, this spirituality integrates the love of God, neighbour and the world. It is a mysticism and spirituality of joy in the world, an Easter spirituality that loves the earth, because the Trinitarian God creates, redeems and loves it. Trinitarian and Christocentric mysticism and spirituality are incarnated in a community of love for effective apostolic service, service that includes social and political dimensions.
