Foundation Day      : 16 December, 1994

Present Apostolate :  Foster Home, Hostel for college girls and working women

The house was blessed by Fr. Martin Cushnan, C.Ss.R on 16 December 1994. Sr. Lydia and Sr. Sabina Lobo were the pioneers. This house has served as an asset for the congregation in India, by providing a place for prayer, study and quiet reflection and as a formation house. Most of the student sisters have benefited by staying at Adrian Nivas, to prepare for the competitive examinations. Sisters have taken keen interest in visiting the families, creating an awareness of the purpose of life among them as well as the education of their children, irrespective of caste, creed or class. In the initial stage Sr. Alpohonsa Gonsalves with help of Sr. Mary Thomas generated the funds and built two houses and repaired eight houses of the poor local people. In 2004 -2005, Sr. Regina Rodrigues and Sr. Laetitia Valder continued the mission and started a small-scale industry of manufacturing incense sticks. About 14 women were employed and at the end of the year it was closed down. In the year 2005-2006 this house served as the extension of the Novitiate for the 2 nd year novices for one year. It was due to the increase in the number of Novices. Sr. Camilla took charge of the community in May 2006. Together with Sr. Zita and Sr. Angeline D’Souza, she started a hostel for college girls and working women. Later, on 6th July 2010 the sisters constructed two small rooms and started a ‘Day care’ and ‘Play School’. Rev. Fr. Viswasam, GNP blessed these rooms and Rev. Sr Janet D’Souza – the Provincial Superior inaugurated this project. According to the guidelines of the provincial chapter, the sisters started a ‘Foster home’ for school going children on17 May 2018. Siblings below ten years, who are destitute or orphan or of single parents are the beneficiaries of this foster home. It is a networking programme with Dream India. This mission with 16 children was inaugurated by Rev.Fr Edward and Rev.Sr. Wilma the Provincial Superior.
